Seattle is a wonderful city to explore as it features many modern attractions as well as natural attractions. The path that lines the waterfront side of the city is a great place to walk, run or bike. There are sculptures and beautiful views of the city all along the way.
Space Needle
The icon of Seattle, the Space Needle is a famous observation tower. The observation deck stands at 520 feet. Take an elevator to the top of the Space Needle to view the downtown Seattle skyline, the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Elliott Bay, and surrounding islands in Puget Sound.
Pike’s Place Market
When your visiting Seattle, plan to spend a day exploring all of the wonders of Pike Place Market. The farmers market and restaurants will inspire your taste buds. A must see is the fish tossing at the seafood shops. Ask and they will show you how to catch a large tuna in your hands as they throw it toward you from 20 feet away. You will amaze yourself and the crowds standing around watching. Next to Pike Place Market you’ll find The Gum Wall, which is a walkway featuring tens of thousands of pieces of gum left by locals and tourists alike over many years.
Puget Sound
The city of Seattle lies in the center of Puget Sound but also includes an area of cities, suburbs, islands and waterways that extend north to south along the interstate 5 corridor. There are many places to explore by car, ferry, walking or bicycle. Outdoor activities include sea kayaking, snow skiing, tours, whale watching, whitewater rafting.

Seafair
